The designed water volume of this project is 300 m³/d. The wastewater mainly comes from the alcohol extraction and water extraction process sections of medicinal herbs. The main pollutants are various components leached from the herbs and pollution caused by organic solvents such as ethanol. The main process adopted is “pretreatment + IC anaerobic + aerobic + chemical phosphorus removal,” and the effluent quality meets the discharge index requirements in Table 2 of the “Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Pharmaceutical Industry Chinese Traditional Medicine Products” (GB21906－2008).
