Product Details

The working principle of the UASB anaerobic reactor is based on the bottom-up flow of wastewater. Wastewater enters from the bottom of the reactor and passes upward through a sludge bed containing a high concentration of anaerobic microorganisms. In this process, organic matter in the wastewater is decomposed by anaerobic bacteria and converted into biogas. The generated biogas escapes in the form of small bubbles, stirring the sludge bed and creating a good mixing effect. As the bubbles rise, some sludge particles will rise accordingly, and biogas, sludge and treated water are separated in the three-phase separator on the upper part of the reactor. The separated biogas is collected, the sludge is returned to the sludge bed under the action of gravity, and the treated water flows out from the upper part of the reactor.
